For a good while now, I've been so irritated with the plague of the millennial (and now Gen Z) female. To put it bluntly, they are the most self-absorbed/obsessed, spoiled and entitled generation ever. And if you can find me a female under the age of 40 who can drive without their phone in their hand actively using it, I would think something was amiss.
Unhinged takes the rage I and many others feel towards the millennial female and pushes it to the extreme. Yes, it does go way over the reality line by having the 'unhinged' Gen Xer not only follow the bad attitude female character but also torment her by a variety of increasingly extreme punishments. But having been continuously disrespected by the millennial female (guys of the age group are not near as bad as the girls) I couldn't help but enjoy seeing Mr. Unhinged focus a brief bit of rage on a millennial female (which I have witnessed myself) putting driving secondary to putting on her makeup. I don't think I've ever cheered so hard at a movie.
It's clear the negative stereotypical millennial female is something that is way out of control if Hollywood has now made a movie expanding on the retaliation what might feel inclined to do when being disrespected by that spoiled, entitled generation.
A day after seeing this movie a friend and I had a confrontation with a mouthy millennial female on a biking trail. During the colorful exchange, she was told she really needs to see this movie. I couldn't agree more! And I don't care how politically incorrect this review may seem because I will tell my thoughts on the subject to anyone's face. I'm not part of the marshmallow society we currently live in.
